Congress MLA from Rae Bareli Sadar assembly seat Aditi Singh has resigned from the primary membership of the party. In a letter sent to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Aditi Singh has requested to accept the resignation. Aditi Singh had been angry with the party for a long time and the inclination of her statements towards BJP was clearly visible. Despite this, she had not yet resigned from the Congress party.
Who is Aditi Singh:
She is the daughter of Akhilesh Singh. Aditi Singh, who entered the electoral fray for the first time last year, won from Rae Bareli Sadar, the stronghold of Sonia Gandhi, despite the Modi wave. Aditi is also the youngest member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Aditi had shown disobedience to the Congress as well in 2019, when she went against the party’s whip and participated in a program organized during the special session of the Legislature on Constitution Day. She then continued her anti-party rhetoric, joining the BJP on 24 November 2021.
