DMK took a tremendous lead
The DMK leads in 77 wards of 21 corporations, 307 wards of municipalities, and 1449 wards of urban panchayats. Chennai is ahead in 50 wards. AIADMK leads in 9 wards in corporations, 90 wards in municipalities, and 385 wards in urban panchayats.
Till now BJP got the victory here
Tiruppur’s ward 9 was won by the BJP candidate. BJP candidate got 230 votes, while the DMK candidate lost his deposit by only 30 votes. In Karur district, BJP won Ward No. In Nagercoil Corporation, the BJP candidate won Ward No.9.
Tamil Nadu had 74,416 candidates in the race.
