The Defense Ministry has announced that the Sainik School Society (SSS) will soon adopt e-counseling for admission to Sainik Schools. It will begin soon. According to the Ministry of Defense, an e-counseling will ensure transparency in the admissions process. New schools will be the first to use this new e-counseling system. For more information, students can visit the official website – sainikschool.ncog.gov.in.
Applications for e-counseling will be notified
The notification stated that the e-counseling system will first be implemented in the new schools being built across the country, where education will be based on the Sainik School curriculum and the National Education Policy. The Sainik School Society will inform students about the e-counseling process once the application process begins. A deadline will also be provided for this process.
The option of allocation will be available to 10 schools
The link to register for the counseling process will be sent to the registered phone number or email address of the candidates based on the qualifying marks. The new Sainik Schools will be able to provide information on the vacant seats based on category and gender. They will also be able to choose their options. Students will be able to select from 10 schools as an option for school and seat allocation. On the basis of their rank and choice of schools, they will be assigned schools through the e-counseling system.
The final allotment result will be published on the portal
Then the final result will be posted on the e-counseling portal. Nevertheless, the students can either accept the school allocation that was made earlier or can inform the authorities of their alternate choice for the second round of counseling. Candidates who do not wish to participate in the admission process must inform the officials after the first round. Candidates will be notified of the date, time, and venue for physical verification after each round has been assigned. Those candidates who are not selected in the first round will again be considered if seats remain vacant in the second round of counseling.
