Chairman of the National Commission for Women Rekha Sharma has asked for action against actor Siddharth for mentioning badminton champion Saina Nehwal in a controversial tweet. In response to Saina’s tweet about Narendra Modi’s security breach in Punjab, Siddharth replied. The Twitter user took to the platform to draw attention to the situation with her posts about Siddharth, “This man needs a lesson or two.”. @TwitterIndia, why does this person still have an account? Taking the matter up with concerned police.
In a post published recently by Saina, she wrote, “No nation can claim to be safe if the security of its own PM is compromised.”. . I condemn the cowardly attacks against PM Modi by anarchists in the strongest possible terms. India stands with Modi #PMModi.” Reacting to her tweet, Siddharth wrote, “Subtle cock champion of the world… Thank God we have protectors of India.” It is shameful of you, Rihanna.”

Several of his colleagues also criticized his first tweet. Singer Chinmayi Sripaada had referred to the aforementioned tweet as ‘crass.’ “This is crass, Siddharth,” Chinmayi said. “You just added to what many of us women are fighting against,” read the tweet.
After his tweet caught fire online, Siddharth issued a clarification, explaining that his statement wasn’t intended to be offensive or hurtful. This is the reference the actor made via a tweet, “COCK & BULL.”. Anything else would be unfair and misleading! There was no disrespect intended or implied. It’s that simple.”
