On Tuesday, March 01, 2022, NTA announced that this year’s JEE Main exam for admission to engineering courses will be conducted in two phases. Candidates will have two chances to improve their score, if they are not able to give their best on the first attempt, they can prepare better in the second attempt.
You will not be given a second chance if you fail the paper.
The NTA has also dealt a major blow to the candidates. If a candidate misses the JEE Main entrance exam due to factors beyond his/her control, such as a board exam, he/she will have to wait for a full year. Therefore, if a candidate misses the exam this year, he will not be given a second chance.
It is not necessary to take both stage exams
Moreover, the National Testing Agency has clarified that candidates need not appear in both phases of the examination. They can take any stage of the test. They will be able to improve their score if they participate in both stages. JEE Main 2022 candidates can also take any one stage of the exam, according to their schedule for board exams.
