H-1B visa holders will need to submit their registration forms online using the US Citizens and Immigration Service’s H-1B registration system, a branch of the US State Department.
Registration for H-1B visas issued in the US to recruit foreign workers with specialized skills will begin on March 1. This information came from US State Department officials. This registration of H-1B visas is expected to be for the fiscal year 2023. Registration will continue until March 18.

H-1B visa holders will need to submit their registration forms online using the US Citizens and Immigration Service’s H-1B registration system, a branch of the US State Department.

The US issues 65,000 H-1B visas in each of its fiscal years beginning in October. In addition, 20 thousand H-1B visas are held in reserve for those who receive degrees in the US. About 70 percent of foreign nationals with H-1B visas are Indian.

What is an H-1B visa?

It’s a way to keep non-immigrant workers in the U.S. H-1B visas allow workers to stay for up to six years. These visas are given to corporations in the US to keep skilled workers, who are lacking in the country.

Additionally, there are some conditions for getting this visa. A graduate employee should also have a specialty in one field in addition to being a graduate. Aside from this, the employee receiving it should receive a salary of at least 40 thousand dollars per year. The H-1B visa also makes it easier for employees to settle in the United States. The H-1B visa holder can also apply for permanent citizenship or a green card after five years.

What is the procedure for registering?

1. The US Department of Immigration will provide a confirmation number after registering on the US State Department website. It will only be used to track registrations.

2. Each beneficiary of a petition for a potential H-1B visa must be electronically registered using the myUSCIS online account, and they are required to pay $10 for each registration submitted by the beneficiary. 1B registration fees must be paid.

3. Petitioners shall use a “Registrant” account to submit their own registrations. From February 21, registrants will be able to create new accounts.

4. The department said that if sufficient registrations are received by March 18, registrations will be randomly selected and notification will be sent to the users’ myUSCIS accounts.
