Earlier this year, photographs of the Great Khali meeting with Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal went viral on social media. This sparked political speculation on social media.
WWW wrestler The Great Khali alias Dilip Singh Rana joined the BJP in Delhi on Thursday ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections. Photographs of the meeting of Great Khali and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal went viral on social media earlier last year. The market for political speculation boomed. He was rumored to join the Aam Aadmi Party before the Punjab elections. He joined the BJP, however, on Thursday.
Arvind Kejriwal, while sharing a photo of the meeting on Facebook, wrote that The Great Khali liked the electricity, water, school, and hospital projects in Delhi. Also, he wrote that the work must now be done in Punjab as well. We will change Punjab together.
Khali resides in Sirmaur:
Khali is a resident of Nainidhar in Sirmaur district. Since returning from the WWE ring, he has been living in Punjab. Punjab has a huge fan base for Khali. However, after meeting Kejriwal, Khali had said that at present there is no such idea.
Objected to agricultural laws:
Dilip Singh Rana aka The Great Khali also opposes agricultural laws. He had said during the farmers’ movement that farmers are the backbone of the country. His support extends to all farmers in the country. Farmers are taking to the streets because of the government’s wrong policies. There will be dharnas and demonstrations if any ordinance is imposed forcibly on the farmers. Dilip Singh Rana said I am the son of a farmer. I understand the struggles that farmers face. The central government should take a decision after careful consideration.
