Drones flew in the fields of 100 cities and towns: Prime Minister Modi inaugurated, saying the sector began a new chapter

PM Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated 100 Kisan Drones in the country as part of the country’s preparations for major reforms in agriculture. The drones flew over fields in different cities and towns of the country. The drones will spray medicines in the fields.
During a video conference yesterday, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated these drones as part of a special drive to assist farmers. He said that, earlier in the name of drones, people thought it was something related to the army or things used to fight their enemies, but today it is a new chapter in the 21st century’s modern agricultural system. “I am sure this launch will prove to be a milestone in the development of the drone sector, as well as opening up an infinite amount of possibilities,” said the PM.
Garuda Airspace has set a target of manufacturing 100,000 made-in-India drones in the next two years, the PM said. The move will also create new employment opportunities.
Nirmala Sitharaman announced a lot for agriculture and agriculture in the budget for 2022-23. Sitharaman had said that the proposed budget for FY 2022-23 will promote drone farming, chemical fertilizer-free natural farming, and public-private partnerships for providing digital and high-tech services to farmers. Drones will be promoted for crop evaluation, digitization of land records, and spraying of pesticides and nutrients, according to him.
