Congress’s third list released: CM Channi will contest on two seats and Aditi Singh’s husband’s ticket canceled

Congress’s third list released:

The Congress Party has fielded Vishnu Sharma to challenge former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. The party has nominated Manish Bansal, son of former Union Minister Pawan Bansal, for the Barnala assembly seat. The Congress candidate Mohan Singh Faliyanwala will face off against Sukhbir Singh Badal in Jalalabad.

The third list of eight candidates for the Punjab Assembly was released by Congress on Sunday. CM Charanjit Singh Channi will contest from two seats. He has been selected by Congress as its candidate for Bhadaur and Sri Chamkaur Sahib assembly seats. A sitting MLA from Nawanshahr Angad Singh Saini has been cut from the party’s list. He has been replaced by Satbir Singh Saini. Angad Singh Saini is the husband of Aditi Singh, MLA from Rae Bareli Sadar in Uttar Pradesh. Aditi Singh left the Congress just before the elections to join the BJP. The BJP has chosen him as its candidate in Rae Bareli Sadar.

Vishnu Sharma fielded against Amarinder Singh

Tarsem Singh has been nominated for the Attari reserved seat by the Congress party. Sukhpal Singh Bhullar from Khemkaran, Satbir Singh Saini from Nawanshahr, and Ishwajot Singh Cheema from Ludhiana South will be the Congress candidates. In the Jalalabad seat, the Congress has declared Mohan Singh Falianwala its candidate against Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal. Charanjit Singh Channi is running for the Bhadaur reserved seat. Manish Bansal, son of former Union Minister Pawan Bansal, has been given a ticket by Congress. On the other hand, Congress has nominated Vishnu Sharma against former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for the Patiala assembly seat.
