Las Vegas was the venue for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s wedding
Lopez sources confirm to the media that Ben Affleck and Lopez have officially tied the knot.
An “intimate ceremony” was held in Las Vegas on Saturday, according to the source.
Lopez confirmed their Vegas wedding in her newsletter on Sunday, ending it with a new name: Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.
Last night, Lopez wrote, “We flew to Vegas for our wedding, stood in line with four other couples and took pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible that once belonged to Elvis (though he was asleep at the time).
The jacket Affleck wore came from his closet, and Lopez wore an old movie dress.
She wrote, “We read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives.”
The Bennifer love story has been 20 years in the making. The couple first met on the set of the rom-com “Gigli,” where they played criminals stuck on a job together.
Their wedding was postponed in September 2003 after “excessive media attention” surrounded their wedding in November 2002. Their engagement was called off in January 2004 before they could walk down the aisle.
After 17 years of children and marriages, Lopez and Ben Affleck reconnected after 17 years.
Lopez was soaking in a bubble bath when Ben Affleck proposed again in April.
In total shock, I looked into his eyes, smiling and crying at the same time trying to make sense of what was happening all over again after 20 years. I was literally speechless and he asked, ‘is that a yes?’ Yes, of course, that’s a yes,” she wrote in her newsletter.
