There is a case of illegal recruitment in the Waqf Board against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan
An FIR has been filed against the AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan in ACB, according to ACB officials. Khan is accused of illegally recruiting 32 people while he was chairman of the Waqf Board.

On Friday, the Delhi government’s Anti-Corruption Branch arrested AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan in connection with the illegal recruitment of 32 people to the Waqf Board. Earlier, the ACB raided more than five places, including his house.
Hamid Ali Khan and Kausar Imam Siddiqui alias Laddan, who handled the MLA’s business and money, were also raided. Hamid Ali’s hideouts in Gufoor Nagar were found to be equipped with illegal pistols, cartridges, and note counting machines worth 12 lakh rupees

12 lakh rupees, illegal country-made pistols and three cartridges have also been recovered from the places of Kausar Imam. The MLA’s relatives and acquaintances have misbehaved and assaulted the ACB team.
The ACP of ACB has given a complaint to the Jamia Nagar police station. ACB chief Madhur Verma said that the ACB team was interrogating MLA Amanatullah till late Friday night. Along with this, ACB raids were going on in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida on the premises of MLA and his friends.
The ACB had called AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan for questioning at around 12 noon on Friday in connection with the illegal recruitment of 32 people in the Waqf Board. The MLAs joined the questioning in the afternoon. After questioning, raids were conducted at the MLA’s house.
ACB chief Madhur Verma said that under the supervision of ACP, the ACB team reached the MLA’s house in Jamia Nagar. He told that here the relatives, family and supporters of the MLA misbehaved and beat up the police team. After this, these people fled from the MLA’s house with papers, money and other items. ACB has given its complaint to Jamia Nagar police station.
The ACB chief said that raids were going on till late night at the residences of the MLA. He said that during the raids, illegal immovable properties of the MLA and his business partners were unearthed. The police have recovered a lot of documents during the raid. ACB officials say that a huge amount of cash and other items are expected to be found during the raid.v
BJP’s allegations against Amanatullah Khan proved true: Gupta
The state BJP has claimed that the allegations leveled by it against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan have been confirmed in the ACB raid. In fact, lakhs of rupees and non-licensed weapons have been recovered in the raids. The BJP has been saying from the very beginning that Arvind Kejriwal, the chief of the Aam Aadmi Party, is only giving protection to thieves and goons.
State BJP president Adesh Gupta said that after assuming power in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal left no stone unturned to make Delhi the “riot capital” and its biggest culprits are Amanatullah Khan and Tahir Hussain. They demanded the sacking of Amanatullah Khan from the party as he is accused of several cases of corruption including misappropriation of Waqf Board properties, purchase of vehicles, tenancy in properties, illegal appointments.
